"The house is light, airy and very clean. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels supplied. It's a short walk into the beautiful historic centre of Rye and there are plenty of places to eat out. We particularly enjoyed the vintage Penny Arcade - great fun - and the huge model with audio and visual history of Rye at the Heritage Centre, it was fascinating. The house is conveniently situated for both the train station and affordable parking. The only thing that would have been useful would be to have an ice box in the fridge to re-freeze the freezer blocks in the cooler box for trips out and taking food home. It didnt detract from our wonderful stay though and even the weather was hot and sunny, scorching in fact! We would happily recommend this property."

"Great staff. Excellent breakfast. The decor in the property needs updating. Bedrooms kept nice and clean. Good shower. My only recommendation is for the hotel to not play music during breakfast - it is unnecessary in my opinion."

"A fascinating old house in a great location, great to stay somewhere interesting but it is small and with low ceilings. Stairs require reasonable mobility, parking outside is short term, there is easy and cheap parking around the corner on Rope St."
