"We loved our stay here! It was so lovely waking up surrounded by birds and trees, with a gorgeous view of the water. We enjoyed the walk to town via tracks off the property exploring the surrounding hills.Russel was a great town to stay in for a few days. Access to surrounding areas was easy and Long Beach was great day in the sun.The cabin is well equipped with everything we could have needed! We made a meal at home one night but also loved exploring the local bars and restaurants. Would absolutely recommend this accommodation and would love to go back again."

"The service here was outstanding from each person we interacted with. The location is convenient to the beach and to town yet quiet and peaceful. I recommend upgrading to the deluxe rooms. We stuck to the base room and would have enjoyed a garden view. The bathroom in our room was the only disappointment. It could use an update."

"Hotel customer service was really great and facilities were clean. The rooms we stayed in which had the twin beds were satisfactory, however, the partition doors were not working when we arrived. Explained to the front desk in the lobby and the guy we spoke to didn't do anything about it the the next day. I spoke with another staff member and she sorted it out immediately after I explained what had happened. She was very apologetic and within half hour the maintenance guys immediately came to our hotel room and fixed the doors immediately. They were very quick with the repair job and we were very satisfied with work they did The beds and pillows were comfortable. The environment is very friendly and family orientated. The downfall is the turning on the shower and waiting for the water to turn on and figuring out the which way to turn on the shower lever. It was not straight forward. Recommend getting the breakfast added to your stay. Really good selection of cold and warm breakfast menu. Nice to see the friendly ducks in the morning and evening. "

"Perfect location, clean room with comfortable bed, walking distance to the wharf and restaurants. Please note that you can't check in before 2 and it seems that there are more rooms than parking places so when they are full you may not have a space."

"Once I saw this listing I knew it would be perfect for my wife and I to relax after spending NYE in Auckland. The town of Russell is full of relaxation and vibrancy all packed into one place. If exploring the beaches, the many restaurants or taking the ferry over to Paihia everything is right at hand. The view from the unit was spectacular and the bed was very comfortable and clean. I am looking forward to staying again on my next New Zealand Adventure. "

"This is a W Property as it has nice beds and a good layout for the room. There is also a nice pool that you can just relax in and swim in."
