"The house was full of character with a big, beautiful garden that Sol and Luis are very proud of. Sol was very helpful and gave us recommendations for restaurants and where to watch the Euro 2024 final in Santander. Luis and Sol live nearby but were very discreet. them often."

There were some negatives: a lot of the crockery/cutlery needed re-washing when we arrived, the master bed wasn’t very comfortable and there is no soundproofing in the house whatsoever! But it was in a great location and was perfectly adequate and enjoyable for a week’s stay."

"We enjoyed our holiday. The cottage would benefit from an audit of crockery, cooking utensils etc. eg, more breakfast bowls needed and no teapot lid. A welcome pack in the house giving info how things work, eg recycling, hot water, where to get firewood, and general info of places to visit would be good and perhaps a visitors comments book. Appreciated Mari, the housekeeper, help and cleaning very much. It’s a beautiful building with nice linens and very well located in the area."

"The cottage was easy to find in a quiet village between the coast and the Picos de Europa. It's well laid out and been thoughtfully modernised. We ate out in the evenings but I think cooking a big meal there would be a challenge in the small kitchen area. The bed was large, comfortable and quiet and the en suite was small but perfectly functional. Jose the owner was very friendly and helpful. "A mouldy smell is the first impression (couch especially). Lack of adequate kitchen equipment, (not one sharp knife).Washing machine door faulty. No way to dry clothes if raining. Noise from adjoining rental, walls obviously too thin. Accomodation needs total refurbishment. Covered outside areas totally useless as rain ingress was extensive. "
