"We stayed while walking the Great Glen Way. It is another hour’s walk from the route so we were grateful to Simon for picking us up and dropping us off the next morning, for a small fee. Comfortable room. We ate dinner at the Old Station, a short walk away, which was very good. Good breakfast."

"Very good location for seeing the sights of the Highlands Only one very minor suggestion and that is to change the smoke alarm nearest the kitchen, it would trigger even with lightly done toast, no smoke or burning, I'm guessing someone has had an issue with this before as I pushed the button on the detector trying to reset/quiten it but the whole thing fell away from the ceiling, it is held in there with tissue paper wrapped around the screws, not great for safety as it runs on mains power, no big deal and nothing to complain about, typing it here as I had no response to and email I had sent with another question so not sure the email address in the details is monitored"

"We can’t say enough about our stay here. The owners were two of the most hospitable hosts we’ve ever had. It felt like we were friends who had come for a visit after not seeing each other for many years. Food was great! The room was sweet and comfortable. We loved our stay and will plan on returning when we’re next ‘across the pond.’ When we were leaving, the owner came hurrying out to wave goodbye to us as we were pulling out of the driveway. That’s a first for us! "

"To summarize in a nut shell it was a joke when we arrived that the place was creepy and that someone must have been murdered here because of all the stains in the carpets and dirty walls. No dish towels to dry dishes and no dishwasher tabs to use the dishwasher. No oven mitts to remove hot items from the oven, no dish soap or trash bags (they give you 1 but a family of 7 will use that in a heartbeat). Water brown, small hand towels left for 2 adults, towels left wet in the washer. Note to owners: if you don't want to put the effort and time in taking care of your place then don't rent it out to guests that spend a lot of money to come see your country only to have it ruined by places like yours. OVERPRICED FOR THIS MURDER SCENE. "
