"A beautiful, quiet, clean and comfortable hotel and bedroom. Loved the history of the building. Extremely weloming and friendly service. Our hosts went above and beyond. We will definitely be back and were so grateful for the wonderful care given to us. Parking on site was easy and the local pub a short walk away. Highly recommend, thoroughly enjoyed the cream tea and delicious breakfast. "

"Needed a hotel where I could leave a trailer. Extremely helpful when I phoned and equally helpful in sorting out afternoon tea even though their kitchen was shut. One of the best meals I have had at the restaurant especially when considering the price. Good breakfast choice. Grounds beautiful and resident peacock and peahen. Tranquil. Bed comfortable just needed to be a little careful of low ish beam in room."

"The bed was extremely comfortable and was the best part of the room. The amenities were nice and the room was as depicted in the photos. The welcome was pleasant but cooled somewhat once they realised we’d booked through Hotels.com. We were told we wouldn’t get breakfast because of it. That’s fine but perhaps phrase it as “so that’s room only tonight” instead. Noise carries throughout. "The room was slightly dated, but very clean. On arrival the room was cold, but there was an option to contact the owners to have the heating boosted if required. We were visiting friends nearby so didn't need to do so, and the room was lovely and warm on our return once the scheduled heating had started.
