"Had a lovely time in your chateau, thanks very much. The house was really beautiful, loads of space and lots of quirky features like the piano, vintage bicycles and attic rooms. Lady next door selling local cognac was very friendly. At night the sky was so dark, excellent for stargazing. The river charente is lovely for swimming in. Super!"

"We stayed in pillac with 10 adults from 74 to 34, and 9 children aged between 2 and 18 and what a holiday we had! The house is perfectly set up for family groups as each lot can take a "wing". A really well equipped kitchen enabled us to have wonderful meals at home... meat cooked by the boys and wonderful salads cooked by Barbara's friend. Barbara was super helpful and very easy to contact the whole time. The village was gorgeous but tiny..... about a 10 minute drive for any grocery shopping....

"It's well located near gorgeous villages, and the garden is beautiful. We had a lovely meal in the garden as the sun set - the exterior of the house is very atmospheric. However, the interior is in desperate need of modernising. The kitchen is rather make-shift and poorly equipped, and the bathroom is tired. With a bit of thought put in (new kitchen/bathroom) and a good clean, the property could be amazing. But for us the big problem was the steep stairs and unsafe rail at the top of the stairs...

"We had the most wonderful relaxing stay! The house is beautiful. It’s been put together really nicely inside and the kitchen is particularly nice and well equipped. It was a pleasure to stay somewhere where the owners clearly care about the quality of the interior and the overall guest experience. "We had a great week and this house, it’s a fantastic property well equipped for 3 families with 7 children all under the age of 13. The terrace and pool area were perfect for long, lazy lunches in the sunshine. We had a slight issue with the freezer that was dealt very promptly by the helpful and friendly owners. Would definitely recommend this as a place for friends and family for a get together."
