"Had a lovely time in your chateau, thanks very much. The house was really beautiful, loads of space and lots of quirky features like the piano, vintage bicycles and attic rooms. Lady next door selling local cognac was very friendly. At night the sky was so dark, excellent for stargazing. The river charente is lovely for swimming in. Super!"

"Our stay at Robert’s house far exceeded our expectations. The house is truly beautiful and it was well equipped for our large party. The pool area was a welcome relief from the heat and the shaded area meant we could use it even at the hottest part of the day. There are many beautiful towns around but the house was so nice we found it hard to leave! Robert was a pleasure to deal with and he made a point of not being intrusive but was always available if we needed him. I would have no hesitation...

"We had a really lovely relaxing visit to Villejésus. We had an amazing welcome from Charles and a 5-day visit was like a fortnight. The pool was lovely and private, the rooms were comfortable, the location was really convenient, Would be really happy to return."

"It's well located near gorgeous villages, and the garden is beautiful. We had a lovely meal in the garden as the sun set - the exterior of the house is very atmospheric. However, the interior is in desperate need of modernising. The kitchen is rather make-shift and poorly equipped, and the bathroom is tired. With a bit of thought put in (new kitchen/bathroom) and a good clean, the property could be amazing. But for us the big problem was the steep stairs and unsafe rail at the top of the stairs...

"A very beautiful house with character and a well-kept garden. The pool was also nice. The welcome was very warm, very nice people. We were particularly pleased with the small selection of regional products that were kindly made available to us for tasting. Thank you very much for that :-). In summary: We felt comfortable and would book again if we were in the area again."

"We had 6 adults and 2 children, it is a wonderful property which i would happily recommend, the owner is very prompt replying to messages, completely contact free check-in and we had trouble getting the children and adults out of the pool😊😎 A few points (which wouldn't stop us booking again) the plastic tub chairs on the side terrace, there are only 4 it was a lovely spot to sit in the evening but 6 adults- same with the sun lounges by the pool only 4. "Wonderful Chateau in Cognac area. Probably 10,000 sq ft with large grounds and a pool. Enjoyed evenings in the courtyard enjoying local wines and during the days touring several of the small local cognac cellars."

"A quiet environment, with plenty of space for the dogs to roam freely. The reception by the owners was very pleasant, they took all the time to show us around and answer a few questions. It's definitely worth repeating."

"Nous étions un groupe de 9 garçons, notre séjour à la ferme fortin s'est très bien passé. Grande ferme avec tout le confort nécessaire, la cour est immense et très agréable. Communication avec odile super fluide. Je vous conseil le boucher du village :)))) Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés !!!"
