WORKING WELL: Eddy was a fast responsive communicator who helped resolve issues that arose. The apartment appeared freshly painted, felt open, was very clean and had lovely light. Although beside a busy street, the bedroom was very quiet, and noise was minimal throughout. The kitchen was well equipped and had many brand new items. The TV appeared new (we did not use it.) WIFI was reliable. The washing machine was easy to use and one floor up. The location was ideal for the rail station and major sites—about 10 minutes to the station, 30 or so to walk anywhere. It is also a less tourist filled area. There were lots of restaurant and grocery store options.
NEEDS IMPROVEMENT: The automatic lighting in the stairs was a bit iffy and dim on our floor. The gas heating for water stopped 4 times in 1 week—Eddy gave instructions on how to fix it that worked, but a problem. The welcome gift of water was missing, as was dish detergent and there was not enough toilet paper—all fixed immediately after asking. There were no toiletries and no hair dryer, important for some but not others. On the last day, we found the lockbox was being used for 2 apartments, so just kept our keys with us as it did not feel secure. Instructions for checkout came after we left. Given Eddy’s responsiveness, I expect most of these issues will be fixed. There are 40 steep stairs to the place, so not suggested if you have any mobility issues or large luggage.
