"Our room was upgraded so had a wonderful spacious room. I liked the idea of a rustic old inn feel. On site pub and restaurant was convenient. Easy parking and access to the cataract gorge and riverside walkways were a bonus as it encouraged us to exercise everyday during our stay. "We made a spur of the moment decision to travel to Devonport (from Hobart) so that we could then go to Cradle Mountain, after the overnight stay. The room we stayed in (2 x queen bed, port view) was very comfortable and great value ($181 per night). The only thing slightly annoying was the lack of car parking options close to the hotel, we reluctantly paid a $25 concierge fee, at least the car was secure. Overall, we would recommend. "Great place to stay in Launceston. Handy to most facilities. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Parking on site Beas good and the staff were helpful. We would definitely stay at this hotel again when we next visit Launceston."

"A very quirky hotel that has a nice charm about it! The rooms are nice and fresh, whilst the bathrooms are very small and dated. Overall it's good with convenient parking and within walking distance to dining, I highly recommend the Plough hotel for dinner which is nearby."

"While the property is located close to the city centre, it is on a main road and there was a lot of traffic noise. Our room overlooked the main road so it was noisy and it was small but comfortable. The bathroom was small but functionable. It was good for the price."

"The hotel was fine. I dropped a star because I got 3 notifications telling me the it is required to contact the hotel before checking in on the day of check in, but those notification did not provide a way to contact the hotel. So I spend way too much time trying to figure it out. When, I finally got there, the girl said there is no reason to contact the hotel before checking in. This is just annoying bad management and communication. On the plus side, the place had a great gym."
