"High in the hills and cooler as a result thankfully as we came from Rome where it was 38 degrees. Pool lovely. Setting beautiful. Car vital. Hosts delightful. We’d come back we loved it so much. Food at restaurant around corner is really good value and excellent. We took train to Lucca for the day once which made a nice day out."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Collemandina. The property was in excellent condition and Leonardo was very helpful with the check in process and also when we didn't have any hot water. The location is very picturesque and quiet. The only downside is that it is a little isolated. There is a restaurant near the property but it is probably a 20 minute walk up steep roads. We were very reliant on using the car to get everywhere when ideally there would be some amenities a little bit closer."

"Beautiful setting - there’s nothing more relaxing than the sound of birds, leaves gently rustling, and water babbling from the river Serchio alongside. This is a lovely little cottage for a family looking to get away from everything- it’s well equipped and well positioned with a small raised pool, private access to the river (where you can paddle and bathe in places) and just a short stroll to shops and a variety of restaurants.
