"Very comfortable and well equipped house. We were just two so more than enough space, but would have been plenty if there were six of us. The owner Geoff sent us a welcome email and assured us that we could contact him anytime if we were concerned about anything. There was no need! Location was beautiful, very remote hamlet but surrounded by amazing scenery. The lovely village of Allendale was just a 10 minute drive away, very good small supermarket and a couple of of good tea shops. We were...

"The lodge was perfect. Spotlessly clean and pretty and everything you could need. However what made our holiday absolutely perfect was the garden the lodge is set in. Stunningly beautiful, magical grounds that you could see from all sides of the lodge. With a folly perfect for an outdoor fire and BBQ. Central to all of the North East and Durham attractions. I have been twice now and can’t wait to go again. Magical!"

"Good communication and ease of booking. Very easy to find. Parking not to difficult although not outside (as listing says). Great location with just a short walk into town. Heating good and needed in January. Loads of hot water for the group and good showers. Plenty of room for the 5 of us. Would recommend. Only negative bathrooms not cleaned from previous booking."
