"We loved our stay at this authentic farmhouse ! The family was very , very warm and welcoming and attentive to our needs / questions. If you don’t have a car ( we didn’t ) you need transport and we had a driver / tour one day . We loved the home cooked meals by Barbara and the pre- stocked groceries. It is quite bare bones - don’t expect any paper towels , any extras at all , not even those you might expect past guests have left . There is literally nothing provided so you must purchase ....

"The villa was of a very good size, with plenty of space around it, very secluded and quiet. Anna, the host, was lovely throughout our stay and she waited for us on the first night, even when we had a delay at the airport. "

"Villa Il Forte is the most incredible setting. It is an incredible historic and luxurious home while being comfortable, spacious and accommodating. Many different spaces to relax, connect and play. Paolo’s team were absolutely amazing. The chef Thomas is so talented while also being wonderfully personable and fun. The driver Fabrizio was so generous and thoughtful. His guides were knowledgeable and friendly. I have already booked it for next year! I can’t wait to go back! "

"The check in process was long winded. We felt rushed to be there to meet the cleaner at a specific time but had been delayed in Rome getting the hire car and had had a 3.5 hour drive. "Absolutely gorgeous and pristine lodging tucked away in the hills just 30 minutes north of Florence. Our family stayed here for a week during our wedding and they didn’t want to leave. The residence is in a secure gated entrance, the property is modern, clean and spacious, and the outside - beautiful pool, open yard, and patio for late night conversation with wine.
