"There’s no question it’s a beautiful home overlooking Lake Como, with a charm that is remjniscent of something out of a Harry Potter novel. Unfortunately, the home itself self has a fair amount of deferred maintenance. Lightbulbs were burned out in master bathroom, the door handle on the washing machine was broken, certain shutters didn’t work, there is no air conditioning in any room and some of the wiring is unlikely to be up to code, although I dont know that for sure. It is located near enough to tourist-busy Bellagio, but far away enough that it is relaxing and quiet. The villa is beautiful and nicely furnished; the owner responds quickly and is welcoming. "This villa has an absolutely gorgeous view, on top of the mountain. It is even more beautiful than the pictures show online. It is walking distance away from a few restaurants, the beach, and the ferry in Onno, which makes it a perfect location if you don’t have a car. The interior of the Villa was average: there was no AC (so make sure to confirm that before booking) and the sheets had a stain on it. Also, the place was advertised as private, but we were shocked when we saw the owner’s family...

"It was much as I had expected, very clean, good views over the valley and excellent communication with Monia, the owner. We succeeded in stealing a key and a mirror and leaving a pair of glasses behind, all of which are finding their way back. Monia is even paying my parking fine for me as I have no idea how to do it and want to remain law abiding!! A great holiday!! PS. Take her advice re going to the Canottieri rowing club for meals.
