"Great hotel with comfortable bed. Not a huge room and bathroom is small but adequate. Heating wasn't working though and was making a racket when on and blowing cold air. Maintenance took a look but couldn't fix it. Ended up with a small oil filled radiator which warmed the room fine."

"Absolutely perfect stay until the morning we left. There was no hot water at all so no one in the hotel could have bath /shower. Felt it was dealt with very slowly still not fixed when we checked out at 11am. Not much of an apology from front of house. "

"The decor is sumptuous. I cannot fault the hotel. However, when I booked on line, the option of a single room was not available, so I booked a double room for1 person. So I was rather surprised to have a small single room on arrival."

"Absolutely loved this hotel. Receptionist on check in was very helpful and pleasant, nothing was too much trouble. The room was fabulous, one huge room with queen bed and a totally separate room with a single bed and basin. Having a partner who snores like a freight train, the separate bedroom was a godsend. "Great stay, had a nice meal in the bar area. Then went swimming and used the jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Had a gym available to use too. Location was good for the area I had to visit. I would stay again."

"The location, grounds and building are lovely. Ambiance is unpretentious and professional, the food delicious. The rooms are lovely but our bathroom was a let down. Very deep old and somewhat dangerous bathtub, with mixer shower taps. No way to shower without flooding. Very limited shelving/storage - nowhere to put washbags etc."

Fabulous Lodge in a beautiful setting

"A group of friends enjoyed a couple of nights here to celebrate 3 birthdays. We enjoyed using the hot tub and walking around the lake. One point we would like to mention is the lack of lighting outside and at the front for going down the steps. We found a lovely cosy pub not far away for dinner called the Clovelly Inn. Overall a great weekend thanks. able to eat out "

"Lovely location, easy access and local to all our favourite places we like to visit. Definitely a place to return to. Home was lovely and spacious. Hot tub awesome. Even the ducks gave us plenty of entertainment!"
