"This place needs shutdown or renovations. Over crowded rooms. Bathroom is horrible. Bathroom fittings are million years old. I burnt my skin because only hot water was coming from the shower and I was already wet to abandon my shower. But YES IT IS CONVENIENT FOR WHOSE WHO ARE THERE FOR A MATCH IN MARACANA. Unbelievably they charged me R$5 for a dirty smelly towel I requested. I’ve seen them giving out towels to the locals and didn’t charge them. Probably took tourist advantage. Even though...

"It's in a very ugly neighborhood, shops close at 6, the neareast supermarket that remains open until 9 is 10 block away in this very ugly neighborhood. Hostel's staff is very kind but I'm not sure if it's a good option in a dangerous city like Rio. I would look for another place. "
