"The owner is very nice and we were received in a very kind fashion. The house is fashionable and very cozy. The surroundings are just amazing. No need to worry about parking, since there is a parking spot right in front of the house, inside the property. We just loved it."

"The steps from the parking lot to the front door are a challenge, but I’m 70 and I did it. The reward is an experience you will never duplicate anywhere else. The waves crash against the shore 10 feet from your head as you lay in bed. Sounds trite, but you are truly one with nature. There is no one else around. Just you. Both daunting and glorious at the same time."

"We were more than happy to have discovered Vila Alegre in the countryside outside of Ponta Delgada. It was beautiful, peaceful, and an amazing place to have been our home base for 5 days in Sao Miguel. Antonio was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and willing to answer questions to help guide our itinerary while there. We can't say enough good things about our experience there, and we definitely plan to return!"

"The photo was not of the actual rental but a building on the property. Otherwise it was very nice. The bathroom door needs repair and we couldn’t find general instructions."

"The Blue House was a wonderful home away from home. From the many windows are beautiful views of the sea and coastline. The host welcomed us with a bottle of wine, local cheese and bread, and basics like eggs, butter etc… It is best to have a rental car as it is about a 20 min drive to the Ponta Delgada and the airport."

"Beautiful place and location on a one way street, a busy street, parking could be a problem. But we could always find a spot somewhere. The house had everything you would need. We found the top three steps of the stairs difficult for the 2 small children. Small grocery store right across the road, bakery up the road. Short walk to the ocean, fishing harbour, restaurants and shops We experienced 3 festival or celebrations in our week there. We would stay there again"

"We initially had some challenges getting ahold of the manager when checking in, but that was resolved. It was close to many sights and a short walk to a small grocery store, which was really convenient. Would stay at this property again!"

"I enjoyed the feeling of having my own pad in Nordeste! The parking was super easy with quick access to the home. It was a bit chilly to use the pool but coming home to them every day was a nice experience. The interior of the home was functional and modern while upholding the charm of a Nordeste home. I would recommend this stay to anyone looking to escape the fast pace of normal life. Thanks for everything!!"
