"The apartment is lovely comfortable and well equipped. It is near the sea and the centre of town. You can park outside without fear of charges. Southwold is charming and friendly with great offering of places for foodies. I recommend an Adnams tour. We did the distillery one but you prefer beer, Adnams is delicious. We spent most of time walking, visiting things in and out of town and coming and going from the property. It is a very good place to stay and relax. It gets great reviews because it deserves it. "

"This was our second time staying at The Cannons and this time brought my parents. We love it here. Perfect location and a great space for two couples. This is a firm favourite for us & no doubt we’ll be back again. "

"Thimble Cottage is sweet and nicely decorated but was a bit too small for 4 not large adults in our opinion. Easy location to explore delightful Southwold from. It was however rather noisy (bus stop and lovely pop up bakery queues outside main bedroom window from early in the morning, dog grooming parlour immediately behind the tiny courtyard, public bins being emptied at 5:30am in the High St). We were also greeted with an overflowing bin of rubbish in the courtyard from previous guests which we sorted with help from the lovely neighbour . No mattress protectors and stained mattresses. No wine glasses or even any matching glasses."

"This property is really lovely. Larger than it looks on the photos. The location couldn't be better for exploring southwold and surrounding areas. Really easy to check in. We went mid August so the parking was difficult, bear that in mind when arriving. If you plan to use the sofa bed, i think you need to let the host know as we needed to use it but there was no bedding. Also, the listing says there is a deck/ patio but there isnt. These points wouldnt stop us staying again - just good to know before hand. "
