The property itself is south of Ellijay, and is within 1 1/2 miles of Engelheim Winery - which happens to be one of our favorites. You will feel like you are in the middle of nowhere as you drive back; it's 0.3 miles through the woods to get back to a very secluded property. "Our family's winter break at this cabin was a mixed bag. While the location and views were undeniably beautiful, and the cabin had a cozy charm, several issues impacted our stay. Upon arrival, the cleanliness was subpar, falling short of our expectations. Furthermore, we encountered problems with the amenities: neither the televisions nor the fireplaces were initially functional. "From check in to check out- the process was smooth. The owners/managers were communicating with all the details. The pretty cottage has a lake in the back and all amenities inside. The kayaks were super helpful - we had a great time with family. We played tennis and pickleball at the Rec center - and enjoyed the outdoors in the evenings with our own sola stove - The electric charger was the cherry on the top as we brought our Tesla.
