"Really lovely staff and the check in experience was very pleasant. The room was just about acceptable in terms of cleanliness but the toilet was not clean and still had used paper in it. The room and the surroundings were very tired and beyond worn in some places, especially the carpet on the stairs which was very dirty. As there was no breakfast, we could not comment on it. It’s such a shame because the setting is quite pleasant and it could be a lovely place to visit. "

"Had a great 1 night stay. Check in was easy and quick and our room was lovely with a good size bathroom. Was very clean and had everything a guest would need (soap, hairdryer, hot drink things). The evening meal in the pub was amazing a curry with great flavour and dessert was delicious. Same with the full English breakfast. All staff were kind, welcoming and helpful.
