"The hotel was clean, comfortable and welcoming. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food was good British pub food. The only minor issue was no-one in Reception on Sunday morning to check us out - but apart from that, a nice stay"

"Does what it says on the tin. Warm - hugely important in Winter. Welcoming, reception and service were excellent. Good value, rooms clean and well equipped with teas, coffee and toiletries, fantastic shower. Vastly superior and better value and experience than Premier and Travelodge “equivalents’. "

"Stayed here a few times & had a meal too. Cant fault the rooms at all & the meals are beautiful. Only issue was we only had 1 towel between us but that was soon rectified. Also never anyone on reception & not sure the bell work's "

"Nobody in reception at 20:50 with note to press call button but after 10 mins nobody turned up. We called all the numbers listed but there was no answer / number un-recognised. Went to the attached pub and asked about the reception and told someone would be coming over, 5 mins later receptionist arrived and announced that the attached restaurant was closed. Not a good first impression! "
