"location is good about 12 to 15 mins walk from train station and easy to find straight down Botchergate, and easy to walk to the main square with lots of bars and eateries, room was fine with en suite bathroom , good shower, fresh towels and tea making facilities, good value in comparison to other places, if staying in Carlisle again i would try to stay here "

"The property was quirky and no personal check in was unusual but worked well. The standard of the room was excellent and very comfortable. The guest house is very close to the town centre, being only 10 minutes walk away. There is also a good dog walking area very close to the property by the river."

"We got a lovely welcome when we arrived. The room was small but very clean and comfortable. The staff were all very friendly. Dinner and breakfast were great. Warm delicious food. Lovely cosy bar area to sit and have a drink. The only downside was that the shower didnt work. We reported this when we checked out. "

"B.P. Lodge has had a chequered history in recent years. Wonderfully it seems to be in good, caring hands right now. En-route from the Scottish Highlands to Kent - it makes an ideal overnight stay with a good evening meal available if you want one. Pooch-friendly Room 11 is lovely. It’s at the rear of the property, so no noticeable traffic noise from the busy main road at the front. We received a great welcome & D.V. look forward to returning "
