"This is a cut little hotel just south of the avenue of the giants. The staff are very friendly and you are basically staying in the middle of the forest right off highway 101. The rooms are cozy cabin style, not fancy but comfortable. "

"I stopped by at 11:30 just to confirm my reservation and the host let me check in over 3 hours early. When I went to my room I found that the thermostat was not working, so the host immediately moved me to another room. Very friendly and helpful. Another great thing was the Humboldt Bar and Grill next door. I was already planning to eat there and was amazed when Google maps said it was a one minute walk. The room had a table and chairs, so I was able to eat in the room and relax after a busy day along the Eel River. I would definitely stay there again."

The check-in / check-out process could not have been easier. We had a great time exploring the area and looked forward to coming back home to this beautiful house each night. "Gorgeous historic inn with beautiful warm sitting rooms on the first floor with games, a roaring fireplace, and relaxing music. Food can be ordered from the in-house pub to this room as well, or eaten in the pub or dining room, which are both beautifully decked out as well. Rooms have delightful victorian decoration and vintage character. This was a fantastic refresh after having stayed in soulless contemporary hotels for all of my last stays."
