"The stay we had at this beautiful resort will live large in our minds forever. We had a wonderful stay. The location literally on the grounds of the archaeological park could not be better- with their own private entrance path through the olive trees taking you inside the park…our room was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The view from our room of the temple was amazing and truly unforgettable . There are so many activities offered to take advantage of if you have the time- must not miss! From walking the olive orchard and olive themed lunch to spa services- even horse riding to cooking classes of classic Sicilian foods. We enjoyed a delicious lunch with our jovial host Giovanni in the chef’s garden that was like something out of a movie. The food was incredible and truly authentic Sicilian delights and i am running out of adjectives to express the level of quality and high level hospitality that was offered to us. Incredible hosts and service on every level. The restaurant meals were beautifully prepared and local local local! Best quality! AnnaMaria arranged a lunch for us at the Scala de Turchi and it was fantastic service and delicious food in the most stunning location! I could go on and on about how special the staff made us feel. So warm and hospitable. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer! We will definitely go back again and stay longer and we HIGHLY recommend this piece of indulgence among the Greek temples and Agrigentan countryside. "

"Spotless and beautiful. The spectacular view across to Juno's temple is the USP, but the grounds of the hotel are also wonderful, full of flowers, herbs (which they use in the kitchen), and fruit trees (ditto) - lemon, orange, quince, prickly pears, vines, pistachios, almond blossoms. The food is incredible - wonderful fine dining menu and the best breakfast buffet I have encountered anywhere. The staff are lovely, friendly and attentive. We were well looked after from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. A spectacular place to spend the last two nights of our honeymoon and we may have to return for an anniversary sometime!"

"Beautiful grounds and gardens"

"Staff were very helpful, welcoming, and accommodating of our toddler. Room (Grecale, Superior Plus with terrace overlooking vineyards) was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean (if bed a little soft for my personal taste). Pool area lovely for a sundowner glass of home-produced wine. Communal spaces very relaxing and stylishly decorated. Breakfast was lovely, fresh, home made cakes. Dinner was disappointing - uninspired, limited, poorly prepared, not good value for money (we had starters and secondi potato, no pastas), I would suggest eating out instead, despite the temptation to eat in for the ease, and having a night cap only back at the hotel."

"We chose this hotel for a quick one night stay to stab into Valley of the Temples park just 3 minutes away first thing in the morning, which we did. We found the room on the small side. The air conditioner seemed to run with odd intermittent noises. Our main issue was with the shower. First, the doors slid apart from the center on tracks as in a closet, but one door was so off-track, it was hanging on 1 of 4 rollers. I was able to get the top two back on track, but the bottom two needed tools. The second issue was the faucet handle was dead center on the long wall right where the showeree would stand--and it was a pullout handle, not a turn knob, not two or three knobs, a handle that juts into the action zone. Talking about thoughtless design, then add my gurthiness, it was an unpleasant dance in deed. I can't speak about all their rooms, but I would ask that they review this design flaw. Overall we slept well and we're able to accomplish our tourist objectives. I want to point out our wonderful experience eating dinner at Pizzeria Mythos Nella Valle--their food is tremendous and tasty. Great family run restaurant with high integrity. Five minutes walk from hotel. Nevermind the lower rating...their food is the real deal! "

"Lovely property and delightful location"

"Well, to start off we are American (65) and I sometime my expectations are higher than they should be. First off was the private gate, you had to exit the car to enter a code to open the gate. You also had to exit the car to enter a code to leave but the code box was at ground level. When it rained you had no choice but get wet. The driveway was on a steep slope also. The exterior of the property had abandoned vehicle and appliance, unmaintained grounds. The bathroom shower had mold around the bottom corners. The property also was approximately two miles off the main road through small narrow roads that seemed unmaintained. No phone service ( I believe because we were on the back side of a large hill down near the ocean, blocking signal). Not their fought. Couldn’t get wi-fi even after owner came to check it out. So, we had to get in the car and go to top of hill to get online to schedule any tours. The villa does have a great view, clean rooms other than bathroom shower. So, for the reasons listed I couldn’t give it more than a two star. If I can figure out how to upload pictures I’ll post some."
