"Location is great in terms of railway station, however sadly the area is not particularly attractive and home to lots of homeless and drug users. The hotel inside is good, with all the usual amenities, and very friendly staff."

"Always enjoy a stay at malmaison, suites are lovely and spacious, never stayed in standard rooms. Dinner options are relatively limited but there is always enough choice and the food doesn’t disappoint. Breakfast also good. Both continental and hot choices if you want to pay a little extra and all cooked fresh. Bar tends to be that little bit quieter on a Friday evening so preferable for us to a Saturday evening! Another great stay, we’ll definitely be back yet again soon. "

"These are great little rooms at a very affordable price, it is all you need for an over night stay. The hostess was very friendly and explained all about the facilities. Just a short walk into the town centre. "

"This hotel is perfectly situated, just off the M4. Very clean and comfortable, with all the amenities expected in the room. There is a breakfast, but i didn't have time. Would definitely recommend, and look forward to staying again. "

"The hotel is very close to Reading town centre and train station, so staying here was very convenient. The staff were friendly and responsive to our needs. The bed was soft, and the shower was powerful. The location is difficult to access by car, however, on account of the UK's bizarre addiction to one-way streets."

"The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful. Excellent location, although the carpark is very small and was fully occupied by the time I arrived. Customers using the hotel restaurant. Public parking is nearby at £1 a night. The room was very clean and well presented, however some of the furniture is rather tired looking. There's a good choice of quality tea, coffee biscuits and bottled water in the room. I'm very happy with my stay. Sadly I had to leave early and missed the breakfast. "
