"The hotel is in an excellent location, close to shops and restaurants. Our room was quite comfortable, except for the bed being a little too low but we definitely had a good nights sleep. The breakfast was very good, eggs and bacon to order and a lot of other choices. The only thing that I would let other travellers know is that there are stairs, not many."

"First the property is beautifully kept, clean and the staff are friendly and efficient. The views of the ocean from the back deck on the third floor are amazing, and bring “off season” the price was exceptional. I would recommend this location to all of my friends and relatives in fact I’m planning on setting up another trip back asap"

"Beautiful Portuguese Casa with lovely garden, pool, and breakfast/rec room. Amazing collections of various items on display everywhere you look. The hostess. Ari, was wonderful and so very helpful. The room was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Rio Maior is only an hour or so from Lisbon and so much more relaxing to stay and enjoy the surrounding sites. Would definitely recommend Casa do Foral. They pay attention to details and will make your stay so very enjoyable. "

"Oceane Guest House is a wonderful place to stay. Conveniently located, you can park your car and walk everywhere, near to restaurants and the surfers down on the beach. Great views, beautiful interior rooms, kitchen & dining area and the hospitality from Cathy was simply great. New building, built to very high standards and furnished accordingly. We’ll visit again for sure, this guest house was perfect. 10/10. "

"The couple who run the facility are engaging and very welcoming. We were greeted with a drink of choice and conversation to get to know our hosts as well as them getting to know us. The room was just as promised with a balcony overlooking the pool. We were given great advice on visiting some of the nearby sights. The location was perfect!! I celebrated my birthday while there and the host both greeted me that morning wishing me a Happy Birthday. Fabulous stay!!!"

"The old farmhouse is amazing with lots of antiques and the property is so pretty. All the amazing details make this the perfect, relaxing spot to spend a few days. The rooms are quaint with all the special extras, and the reception from Anabelle and Jean=Pierre was wonderful! We had a great breakfast with pastry and charcouterie, etc. Couldn't ask for more!"

"A perfect pool amid a lush green retreat! This peaceful locale is an easy drive to Alcobaça, Obidos and Nazare. The hosts are delightful, as are their homemade muffins and eggs each morning. The new organic mattresses were the most comfortable we have enjoyed during our entire trip."

"Good size apartment, close to the beach. Washer/dryer was handy. For such a beautiful part of Portugal there was a disappointing view out of the apartment - looking at other buildings and being overlooked by them. Certainly not the stunning ocean view shown in all their marketing material. Also disappointing not to be able to control the heating given the cold wet weather in mid March - it did feel a bit cold in the apartment at times. "

"Great, spacious duplex accommodation. Very clean and well kitted out. Unfortunately the road noise and lack of air conditioning is a real downside. "

"The place itself is nice and has a certain charm. Didn’t love the location/area though and lack of programming. Every little thing was extra (like towel rentals, no class yoga only private lessons) which wasnt a big deal but still different from what we are used to. The place itself is well thought out and designed. "

Tiny Village, Big Character

"I booked this stay last minute as I wanted to explore Obidos. I had to work during the day, so I needed to find a place with easy access to the town and with strong internet. It had that in spades. It was a really comfortable room, with an awesome view. The care of the front desk team to help me explore thoroughly- every time I entered or exited they made sure I was doing well and they checked in on if I liked the Chocolate Event that was happening nearby. If I return to Obidos, I'll absolutely be staying here again."

"I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel as it felt high end although very comfortable. The views are amazing. Breakfast was very expansive and I always felt like I could eat as much as I wanted I did make a mistake about location but I was able to use Bolt to get to the city for very cheap. "
