"We really enjoyed our stay at By The Sea. Centrally located, room was spacious and clean. They offer breakfast across the way which is quite filling. I do wish they would have offered coffee in their kitchenette, as one morning we needed to leave before the breakfast place opened and there was none to have. Thankfully we found a bakery on our way that was open before 8am. Would visit again "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 19 Tile. There's virtually no street presence to the space though. We found ourselves tentatively knocking on a door we thought was correct and we were right but there is no hotel signage otherwise. Each room is decorated by a large artist which is a delight. Breakfast had a large ceramic giraffe holding a chandelier in it's mouth to light the space. It's quirky and I recommend it highly!"

"Beautiful Portuguese Casa with lovely garden, pool, and breakfast/rec room. Amazing collections of various items on display everywhere you look. The hostess. Ari, was wonderful and so very helpful. The room was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Rio Maior is only an hour or so from Lisbon and so much more relaxing to stay and enjoy the surrounding sites. Would definitely recommend Casa do Foral. They pay attention to details and will make your stay so very enjoyable. "

"The old farmhouse is amazing with lots of antiques and the property is so pretty. All the amazing details make this the perfect, relaxing spot to spend a few days. The rooms are quaint with all the special extras, and the reception from Anabelle and Jean=Pierre was wonderful! We had a great breakfast with pastry and charcouterie, etc. Couldn't ask for more!"

"The couple who run the facility are engaging and very welcoming. We were greeted with a drink of choice and conversation to get to know our hosts as well as them getting to know us. The room was just as promised with a balcony overlooking the pool. We were given great advice on visiting some of the nearby sights. The location was perfect!! I celebrated my birthday while there and the host both greeted me that morning wishing me a Happy Birthday. Fabulous stay!!!"

"A perfect pool amid a lush green retreat! This peaceful locale is an easy drive to Alcobaça, Obidos and Nazare. The hosts are delightful, as are their homemade muffins and eggs each morning. The new organic mattresses were the most comfortable we have enjoyed during our entire trip."

Every little thing was extra (like towel rentals, no class yoga only private lessons) which wasnt a big deal but still different from what we are used to.
