"We were very impressed with the Vicarage property and of course our beautiful room/un-suite. The comfort of the huge bed, and fantastic front windows! The magnificent bathroom & shower…our compliments to the designer. The room’s accoutrements were a pleasant addition and made us feel very comfortable, specially the Nespresso coffee maker! The guest sitting room was an added bonus and we enjoyed eating a take home meal in comfort. The Vicarage staff were very hospitable & personable.The decor of the Vicarage should be award worthy. The added bonus of the Barkers Foodstore & Restaurant being on the same property should also be rated as 5 Stars.!. We will be back to enjoy more comfort and hospitality of the Vicarage and the surrounding community."

"We had such an amazing stay at this place strongly because of the owner Angeline. I had called them before I arrived as I got an email from Expedia. She quickly eased any worries about my late’ish arrival. We had checked in late after a long day at Lake Tekapo only to be greeted by Angeline with her warm hospitable smile along with many dinner recommendations around town. Parking is ample outside the cabins. There are these x2 amazing massage chairs where we chilled out horizontally after a long day at Mount Cook. Shower pressure is fantastic. Bed comfy, place super clean. Even had ice and milk in the fridge. Our stay as a whole was such a treat after questionable at best hotels/motels all week. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place and we will surely visit again in the near future. 10/10 👍."

"Beautifully appointed apartment, spacious, well equipped and comfortable. We were close to the main road, which gave a bit of traffic noise, but it was in no way annoying or disturbing. Short walk to the New World supermarket and good pubs and restaurants."
