"Looks great online but the reality was quite a disappointment. The cabin was not as well appointed as I had thought given the cost, all a bit cheap and plasticky. The floor was sort of buckled and uneven in places and as such the door was a challenge to close. The container got quite hot as the weather was so good, but there was no air conditioning and no fly screens, so opening the windows meant I had to contend with some big bugs late at night (moths and cicadas). "This is an exceptionally special spot. The house was clean, contemporary, warm and comfortable with everything we needed… and the views were amazing! The walks around the property were a surprise and extra magical - it’s well worth the steep climb to the lookout! Exploring Farewell Spit and Wharariki area was a breeze from here. "We had a lovely, relaxing 3 nights in Parapara beach. The bach is right on the beach with stunning views all the way to Farewell Spit. It was dog friendly and we met lots of nice people on the beach with their dogs!"
