"The Setsumon was in an excellent location - easy to walk almost anywhere in Hirafu. The apartment was huge and quite comfortable. The staff was very friendly. The only downside was a lack of their own transportation around town. "

We booked our snowboarding thru them and it was very convenient. They also were quick to accommodate some unique needs that we had. A couple things to consider - the lodging is at the bottom of the hill in Grand Hirafu. You can technically walk to the restaurants and to the resort but it can be dangerous if it snows. "Very clean, good value for money, excellent service, great area near the bus stop and a couple of restaurants and a bakery. The only thing we didn’t enjoy was the couch and beds were quite uncomfortable. Although hard beds are common in Japan, we all found these ones to be very hard, the couch was also uncomfortable which was a shame after a day of skiing all you want is to be comfortable. We would stay here again though, but next time we’d bring some air beds to put on top of the mattresses."

"The apartment is in great location right across from Family Chair Lift. The apartment is roomy with comfortable bedding. Large bathroom and well equipped kitchen. Property management and service is excellent."

"Property is new and modern. If your skiing Niseko it is a long walk (1.5 km) to the nearest lift. The property management company will pick you and transport you to the lifts or to the grocery store. I was only skiing in the backcountry, so the location was fine for me."

"We loved it here! It is in lower harifu, about a 5 minute walk from town but a 10 - 15 minute walk to the base of Harifu. You can catch the family lift (5 minutes away) to avoid walking all the way up the hill. We loved the location! It was quiet. It is down a steep hill and our transport had a hard time getting there because there was so much snow. "Can't beat the gorgeous lakefront location and views. Everything was outstanding except the somewhat disappointing dinner buffet which was subpar in the quality of many dishes, especially the seafood. Breakfast was excellent. Our private open-air onsen in our room was great as was the public rooftop onsen. "

"Check-in was a little odd using a machine, but there was an employee who helped us. The nearby lake was beautiful, although we didn't have the clearest view from our room. The free sake was fun in the lobby. Breakfast was also tasty. The Japanese-style mattress (futon) could have used a bit more padding."
