"Hacienda Chichen is one of our very favourite resorts anywhere in the world! On this most recent visit, our destination was the hacienda and we didn't even bother to tour Chichen Itza. We just love hanging out at the stunningly beautiful pool set amongst the historic cottages and meticulously landscaped gardens of this jungle oasis. Such an idyllic, peaceful spot! The terrace of the restaurant overlooks the grounds and is a wonderful spot to have a leisurely breakfast or enjoy dinner as the sun goes down. "

"Did a quick overnight here to visit Chichen Itza and the local cenotes at first crack and it was so worth it! Zero crowds and a very personal experience. The hotel staff was fantastic, as I was coming and going at odd hours, and they were always very helpful. The hotel is scattered with interesting artifacts, has a huge pool, library, even foosball! Simple, charming rooms with arched bed alcoves and surrounding gardens. Very tranquil stay."

"This is a wonderful hotel with gorgeous grounds. The entrance is an enormous thatched open lobby with friendly staff that speak English. Our room was on the 2nd floor overlooking the pool. It was comfortable and the air conditioning was great. The shower had great water pressure and the restroom was spacious. We ate at the restaurant the first evening and loved the food. The included breakfast was delicious. It's served in the open air and there are lots of flying critters that want a taste. They had delicious Papaya jelly that really attracted flys, so we had to place a napkin over it. You can walk to the downtown square easily where you will find several little shops and food vendors. Parking at the hotel is great. It's a five minute drive to the Chichen Itza ruins, or you could walk there. The ruins are extensive, so you would get your steps in for sure. We look forward to returning here with our kids in the future. "

"Luis was an amazing host! He greeted us on arrival with fresh made lemonade and showed us where to park. Gave us plenty of tips for things to do and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable! While our trip was very short, we will be coming back to stay longer and explore more of the area! "

"The staff was very friendly. We booked a guide to Chichen Itza which was excellent. Breakfast at the hotel was not included in the price but was excellent. My children enjoyed the pool."
