"We had a terrific week in Gonzalo & Ana's villa. It had everything we needed, plus a excellent pool in the garden. Gonzalo & Ana were very welcoming when they met us and the property was very clean and well equipped. It's a great base for exploring the Northern coast of Spain. We went to Bilbao, Burgos and Haro during our visit, each providing a different experience of Northern Spain and its culture. Thank you so much Gonzalo & Ana. "

"Nice quiet place with lovely scenery and very comfortable rooms and large beds. The pool was a decent size, but the hot tub was not warm when we visited. Helpful staff as there are limiited dining options, so be prepared to drive somewhere to eat. Not easy to spot the entrance to the hotel. It is accessible via the double wooden door and an intercom as seen from google street view of the address. Would recommend for couples. "

"Very quaint place to stay. We loved the old world ambiance. Breakfast didn’t offer enough protein but was good. The beach is a close walk. Very nice place to stay. It was hot so we had to sleep with the windows open and could hear some people talking in the courtyard until really late. "

"We stayed in this hotel 10 years ago and it was incredible. We were concerned it had changed hands. At first we were disappointed. We were charged 10 euros per night to park our car!! The check in process was confusing as the only way we could contact the staff was by whatsapp. We warmed to the hotel - the breakfasts were excellent and the dinner very good"

"This was the second occasion we visited this hotel prior to getting the ferry in Santander, which is a short 17 mins drive away. We found the hotel extremely well run by very friendly staff and, fortunately for us, all the reception staff spoke very good English. Our booking included a continental breakfast, an optional extra for an evening meal was an open buffet. This was very reasonably priced with a wide choice, and we would thoroughly recommend it. Will definitely us visit again in the future. Extremely good value all round "
