"Unfortunately our experience with 'Pierre Vancancies' was extremely unpleasant. On arrival we were given no instructions of how to check in or acquire the key to our room. We arrive to a completely locked premises with the option of a key or passcode entry, to which we had neither. "Very nice first floor apartment. Spacious and recently refurbished, very well equipped. Smallish balcony was okay for me on my own with my G&T, and would just about work for two at a pinch. Trees have grown a bit so difficult to see the harbour but it's only a couple of minutes' walk away. Sabine the host was excellent, even picking me up from Vilanova station which is only about a ten-minute walk but that saved me trying to find the apartment on arrival. Minimarkets quite close so no problem...

"The apartment was ok, but especially the rugs need a good cleaning. The last renter had not done a very good job cleaning utensils, glasses and dishes so first thing we did was wash everything in the dishwasher. The gas stovetop did not appear to be working, but as we were only there for 2 nights we did not bring this up with the owner, so there is likely a solution to that. The area is ok, a small convenience store and cafe below, and other amenities and cafes, restaurants in easy walking...

"The property was exactly as listed. Quite central to Vilanova with a lot of lil restaurants and shops within walking distance. Xavi and his partner made us feel right at home and we were able to communicate despite our Spanish speaking limitations :). The thing to be mindful about is that the property does not have its own parking, has paid parking next door and free parking around 5-6 mins walk away. That slight inconvenience apart, I would definitely recommend the stay and will look to be back...

"We have just finished a very nice two week holiday here. The apartment had everything we needed, and was very comfortable. Lovely swimming pool and nice area to sit beside it. About 15 mins drive to beaches at Sitges. We took the bus from Sant Pere de Ribes when going to Barcelona, this was easy enough and took about 55 minutes. The room stayed nice and cool throughout with the air conditioning."

"This is a beautiful place to stay. Fina and Jaume were the most hospitable of hosts and their condo was the best equipped we have ever been to. Spacious, welcoming, and comfortable, this is the place tio be in Calafell. The train station is an 10-minute walk, so it was easy to spend a couple of days in Barcelona, but it was easier to just relax and rest on the balcony and listen to the waves."

"The apartment was very affordable and the location was relatively quiet. It has no air conditioning, but it is not hot at the beginning of June and you have a pleasant air from the sea.
