"Had a lovely stay in Cabanas in this traditional Portuguese house in a small town. Everything was within walking distance. Close to the boardwalk and ferry across Ria Formosa lagoon to the beach. Two wonderful terraces. Nicely decorated with artistic touches. We had a few issues that required us to contact the owner who responded immediately. Would recommend to others!"

"After spending the last 20 years coming to The VDL with my husband, this was my first solo trip since losing him, so a big step! But, I feel SO very lucky to have stumbled across this little villa whilst I was searching. Its exactly in the location I wanted - a 5 minute walk to the beach and restaurants and is the perfect size for a solo visit or couple. "I was impressed with the property initially, it was well equipped but lacked a milk jug and teapot. Also the internet was often unavailable.One of the biggest problem were the beds, far too low and the pillows were poorly filled and therefore uncomfortable.I had to go out and buy two new ones. The showers were extremely difficult to control and one was in great danger of being scalded. The shower cubicle downstairs was too small to turn around in as a result your body would inadvertently either...

"The place is exactly as described. Everything that is needed for a comfortable stay is there. Nelson and Paula are wonderful people, very helpful in making suggestions for day trips and sightseeing, Nelson sends us all information right down to google map. He took us on a tour around town on our first day. We were lucky that on our last day at Olhao, Nelson had to go to Faro, he very generously offered to give us a ride to the bus station. "This is a wonderful hotel and the staff are what make it. Very friendly and accommodating, food is lovely with plenty of choice.
