Perfect site if you have no mobility issues.
We enjoyed the old building with thick stone walls (still showing in some of the rooms), old brick, and the ancient tiny fireplace (non-working) in the dining/living area. Bathroom is completely updated with a small corner shower only. Very steep steps and street on a good slope, with heavy original entrance doors can make it difficult to enter and exit especially with luggage. All part of the Vieux Quebec experience though. We didn't have trouble with virtual check in but the information on the back of the door through a QR code was out of date. Email bounced back when we had a toilet issue and we had to phone a number and ask for a plumbing person to come to the room - there was no plunger in the apartment or we could have fixed the issue ourselves. Instead they did not come while we were out of the room for the day (as we had asked them to) and when we got back we assumed the toilet had been fixed, flushed it, and then it actually overflowed. Our only option was to throw towels down as a dam and phone again. A young gal (student help?) finally came with a plunger, used it and voila... fixed. She took the wet towels down to the laundry room and cleaned up the floor too.
SUGGESTION: All this could have been avoided with a simple $5 plunger in the bathroom.
Other than this issue, we would stay here again as it is walking distance to Chateau Frontenac, the rest of the old city, and the Citadel, as well as some yummy restaurants.
