Maalu Maalu Resort & Spa
2/5 Poor
Not worth for the money
"I had been looking forward to stay in this place for quite some time but my experience and expectations was so different. The atmosphere of the location is fantastic. The hotel is very old. Had a bad smell in the room which was so unpleasant and uncomfortable to breathe in. Not suitable for asthma and allergy sufferers. Air conditioner was not working properly. Not much facilities in the room to keep your belongings. Room was very small compared to other hotels around. Washroom doors were so hard to open and close and make huge noise. Sleep was so awful. The hotel is located in the Tamil speaking region but only singhalese were used to greet. Either they use English or use both the national language. The manager on every meeting starts his conversation in Singhalese. They need to treat both the national language equally or else use English.
Overall it’s overpriced and not worth for the money. It’s expensive compared to other hotels around but not value for the money. I sincerely request the Hotels.com to review this place before applying the price. I was totally disappointed with the entire experience and stay at this place. "
