"Loved the location. Sea views and idyllic peace and quiet. Under 5mins drive to beach was perfect for regular dips. Owners and managers home within relative close proximity but were very unobtrusive. Lovely stay "

"The place is nice but wrongly advertised. In stayz it said 3 bedroom for 6 adults. But when arrived they weee only 5 bedding. 2 queen and a single. Where is the sixth person going to sleep. He had to check into a motel nearby. When contacted the owner he said, you can see the picture on advertisement, only single. Totally not satisfied with explaining the situation. Then goes quite until I checked out. Please read the before booking and get confirmation. But the place is brand new and very clean...

"Our stay was amazing, we had everything we needed and did not want to leave the property. The beautiful deck opens up onto the estuary where you can hop in the kayaks at high tide or sit at the jetty with your morning coffee. The house had everything we needed to cook, have a bbq and play some games and cards around the table. Straight across the road you can swim in the ocean with stunning farmland, mangroves, and views beyond. We would happily book again for another stay. "

"The property is exactly as shown in photos not a lot of room outside for the dog but it has a small fenced area so ok for little dogs. Very close to other houses but is quiet will need the car to get supplies. Surprised only one tv but loads of games for kids. Nice beds but a little hard. For the price it’s very expensive as just stayed at Waiheke and got a heated swimming pool and spa included for almost the same price Matakana is expensive and no beach views or country outlook. "Perfectly located property right across the road from the beach with amazing views. Could watch our teenage kids playing volleyball and basketball all from the comfort of the deck. Kitchen was light on cutlery, but still had all the basics needed which was great. Would definitely book again, thanks for having us!"

"Great place to stay, we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. There is heaps of space, with 3 bedrooms, each with an ensuite, and 2 lounges. 5 min walk to shops and beach. Perfect!"

"Vicki is such a lovely host who made sure we were very well looked after in this beautiful little cabin in the hills. My friend and I stayed here for Hidden Valley and had the best time partying, exploring Matakana and spending time in this wonderful private haven. Definitely recommend staying here if you’re thinking of coming to Matakana "

"Unfortunately I had submitted the wrong month:However my host would not assist in any way to rectify.To claim that mid Week in May would have meant turning other clients away and revenue would be lost seemed unlikely:Book a Bach /Hosts should have a more “kindness “ approach to enable a genuine mistake be rectified in some way.I have lost $400 :the host has gained all for a slight inconvenience."
