"I had the most fabulous stay here, the owner and her family were amazing and I was very well looked after. I got taken on a horse and cart tour around the valley to see the tobacco farms and we got out and walked sone of it as I love a good hike. It was really special, very good for the soul and we communicated despite me not speaking a word of Spanish! The food was home cooked and amazing, great breakfast and a huge evening meal! I couldn't manage lunch, I was too full! All in all, highly recommended and well worth a visit. I was the only tourist in town and they desperately need more! Bring a solar power pack and a torch because Cuba has daily and continual power cuts."

"It was very safe and the food was lovely. As ever, there were daily power cuts across Cuba but they made sure to loan me a USB torch and make sure I was okay. Vinales was amazing and I went on a fabulous hike with a guide around the valley. "

"Casa El Porry was an absolutely beautiful place to stay for my 4 days in Vinales. Betty and her lovely family could not have been more friendly and helpful. Location was perfect - just 5 minutes walk to all the cafes and restaurants on the Main Street with gorgeous views over the fields and Mojote hills beyond. They helped me organize local sightseeing, a days horse riding and visit to tobacco plantation and a day to the beautiful remote , pristine beach at Cayo Jutias . They have their own generator which ensures you can still have power and a hot shower despite the frequent power outages Vinales ( and most of the country) is experiencing at present. Would definitely be my first choice of places to stay if I’m back in Vinales 🤗"

"The host, Daily (sorry if I have that wrong), went out of her way to be helpful and to make me feel welcome. Daily's mother made excellent breakfasts and did my washing by hand when there was no electricitry. Even Daily's husband chipped in all the way from Mexico. Thank you very much for everything."
