"My wife reserved 3 family rooms , I reserved one a total of 4 rooms and when I did the check in one of my wife's room was not ready and it was past the check in time the room that I additionally reserved was given to another family and It had been charged to my account , the power went out and we had no lights all night no food , no hot water , no wifi customer service was not the best , the rooms were dirty the staff was not helpful, the main reason I'm giving 2 starts is because the natural view and waterfalls are beautiful "

"This hotel is an experience in itself. Nestled in a mangrove, the hotel is built on stilted walkways. There are turtles and crocodiles (sometimes), but apparently they do not bother people. You can relax at their restaurant or by the pool or choose to participate in activities such as sunrise kayaking to an island with monkeys, a horseback ride, a walk through their farmland, or a day trip to Livingston. The people who work there are friendly and organized. The place is kept very clean and comfortable. I personally like that you can access it by land or boat. Many similar spots are only accessible by boat, which makes me feel too isolated! I would definitely recommend this hotel. "

"Tucked away far from the bustling heart of Puerto Barrios, this charming property offers a serene retreat for those seeking to unwind. While it is an older property, it is impressively well-maintained, with a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, and having a young lady on the team who spoke English fluently was a tremendous help for our limited Spanish skills. The on-site restaurant, Mangoes, was a standout, serving delicious meals at very reasonable prices—an absolute highlight of our stay. Although the bed was a bit firm and the linens (both towels and sheets) showed their age, these minor details did not detract from the overall experience. This hotel is a delightful choice for travelers looking for peaceful surroundings, good food, and warm hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would gladly return!"
