"We had a lovely overnight stay. Staff we very helpful and friendly. Rooms were rustic in the style of the whole hotel and were clean and comfortable. Dogs were free at this hotel which was welcomed. Surroundings of the hotel is beautiful.. If there was one negative, it was the look of the outdoor pool.. I know it is winter and not used at the moment but the water looked like it could be a health hazard"

"Lovely hotel in city center with great staff, the only drawback is the smell from the bathroom sewage that’s too common in old buildings. "

"The hotel is remote from the historical area and with the steep hills in town its good to drive up to the centre of town. The bar and restaurant are not in the hotel and even tho they are only about 50 yards away not very convenient especially for breakfast in winter! The staff were very friendly and helpful but with the location of the hotel and its condition I would not stay there again."

"The streets are narrow and with little for street signs you can easily get lost. The hotel faces a plaza with many choices for dining or drinks, and shopping is all around. We did not use the pool. The room was quite basic, no mini fridge was disappointing "

"Pretty good value overall. Room was clean and comfortable. Hotel had nice walkable streets nearby. Great little town. Breakfast could use significant improvement. Really very limited selection by Spanish hotel breakfast standards — didn’t taste fresh. Zero hot foods (e.g. eggs) and only two fresh fruits. Coffee machine looked modern but made bad coffee that seemed mixed with hot chocolate. "

"The AC system in the room was out of service. Being in the attic the temp in the room was worm what made sleeping very difficult. There was a very strong smell to sewers inside the elevator to the second floor that was also noticeable in the second floor corridor. "

"First, the view from our room was worth the stay—gorgeous! The hotel was good. Staff had limited English but that’s to be expected off the beaten track. The meals that came with “full board” were quite limited, and we would go a la Carter next time. Room was a little stuffy, and it was a little noisy in the evening with the window open. The thermostat didn’t do anything, so a bit of air conditioning was not an optio. "

"This 16th-century hotel exudes charm and history. Julian was a wonderful host. I easily found free street parking, but it’s off season. Be warned, however, that older buildings come with quirks, such as hot water taking a while time to come on (then plenty hot and good pressure) and high steps. My companions and I loved it!"

"The property is both a a spa frequented by retirees and family vacation spot. It reminded of what a Catskills resort might have been like. The pool was crowded with families and younger couples in the hot wx of July. The dining was excellent; staff were friendly. It is close to two UNESCO World Heritage towns, Baeza and Ubeda. We were only there overnight but had a good impression."

"El alojamiento es muy bueno, cumple con las expectativas. La comunicación con los propietarios es muy buena y hay que destacar lo limpio que está el alojamiento. La finca está muy bien cuidada. Eso sí., NO RESERVEIS CON Vrbo!! La empresa deja mucho que desear. L Dimos con este alojamiento después de que nos anulasen otro y después de un mes todavía nos deben dinero (Vrbo, que no los propietarios del alojamiento). Múltiples llamadas a Vrbo donde lo único que responden es que ya lo mirarán... Pero...
