"Wonderful and unique place to stay. Staff were terrific. The church bells ring through the night so bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper!"

"There was every facility we needed. Like most hotels the shower had the orange grunge in the corners but room was otherwise clean. The superior double was on the top floor and was spacious but had no windows only a roof light. It was quirky but good. "

"Hotel was unique, set up on a hill with nice views of Pisa. Staff pleasant and helpful. Room spacious & comfortable. We were lucky with the weather so made use of the lovely pool, but soo many mosquitos, so be warned! Highly recommend staying here for the night if travelling between Pisa and Lucca but you do need a car really as Rigoli is an uninspiring village with only one restaurant which was shut the night we were there. "Simple but just enough for one night. The lady who gridded us was very nice. Room door very difficult to open with key. Bathroom not in room but still private. You have to come out of your room into a common small area and then go into the bathroom. It was kinda different, but I did not see anyone else there to share bathroom. Very convenient to walk to station , 3 blocks and a 15 min walk to the leaning tower where there were many restaurants . Very safe walk . Many small stores to buy water,...

"Not so good. Shower curtain has mildew on it and the bathroom was shared. We arrived from the airport very late and gave the taxi driver the address. When he stopped outside we thought there might be a mistake as there was no sign and it didn’t look like a hotel. I checked the email which was all in Italian. It was 1am in the morning. However I saw someone else trying to enter the code for the front door and went in with them. I showed them my email and they helped us find and get into our room....

"Checking in was extremely frustrating! There was no mention of checking in at a different location, only hours for a front desk. When we were finally able to find the check in it was still quite the process to get to the room. There is a kitchen but no microwave, just FYI. The towels for the shower look and feel like large paper napkins."
