L’Abbazia di Montecassino is a beautiful abbey just a short taxi or bus ride from the town of Cassino. Founded by St. Benedict in 529 AD on the remains of a Roman heathen worship site. Beautiful views of the surrounding towns in Frosinone, Lazio and a ton of history. It was truly a serene experience.

"We stayed at this wonderful place and let me just say how perfect and convenient it was. This place is spotless! Comfortable! Spacious and peaceful. The pictures are exactly like the place. We had no issues and the host Bianca made our stay very easy , pleasant and perfect. I recommend this place if you have to be in that area! Having a rental car wasn’t any problem at all to find parking and walk the path to the unit. Thank you for this amazing experience !!! "

"The hotel property and grounds were beautiful. The staff friendly and helpful. The morning breakfast was very good. It's a great base for exploring the area. The only issue we had was probably due to us travelling in the off season. It was very difficult to find many open restaurants for dinner. I don't know if this is practical for the hotel but it may be worth their while to offer meals in the evening. The restaurants we found had excellent cuisine.
