Great location near Balfour and Nelson. Usage of the dock was key for our boat. The property was very comfortable and well appointed. Parking was a little tight, but manageable. Thanks, we loved the location and views on Kootenay Lake.

Beautiful home on Kootenay Lake
We had a bit of a snafu with our reservation but once we were able to connect with the owner everything worked out and we were able to have a great stay. Ted is a gracious and wonderful host. His family home is beautifully designed and comfortable. The views are gorgeous and they truly have a piece of paradise there in Procter, BC. We look forward to coming back in the warmer months to enjoy the lake. I highly recommend this place for a family or friend’s vacation.

The house sits on the river and offers stunning views of the water and mountains from every window. We found it perfectly clean with the best linens I’ve had in a rental home so far. The kitchen was stocked with absolutely everything necessary and more, very clean nice size fridge. We had a great overall experience and will definitely be back to this house again.

This is a great place to get away from everything. Very nice fully equipped house in a beautiful lake front location. You can watch the ferries come and go. Highly recommended. Ted was very helpful.

THE PLACE TO BE
If it's beauty, tranquility and relaxation you're looking for, this is the place to be. Beautiful home, quiet surroundings, stunning views. Beds are comfy, kitchen well equipped, fireplace. Only thing missing was a medium size cooking pot. so no big deal. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Will return.

Family Friendly Vacation
We really loved this spot on Kootenay lake! It was quiet, private and perfect for our annual family vacation. Awesome private beach for the kids with a great dock for jumping off. The ferry does go by every 30-40 mins but it’s quiet and becomes part of the scenery. The cabin was bright, clean and spacious. We so appreciate pet friendly homes and we were able to bring our dog who enjoyed endless days of swimming. Ted was a fantastic host - very communicative and quick with responses. We really enjoyed our time at Kootenay lake this summer! Highly recommend!

Beautiful peaceful lakefront home
We had a great weekend at Ted and Heather's beautiful lake side retreat. The photos don't do this home justice, it is even better in person. Cozy and spacious living room with a fabulous wood burning fireplace that kept us toasty all weekend, heated floors, so many option for sitting and dining, big deck with the best views and the icing on the cake was the most amazing soaker bathtub ever that every member of our family tried! We are big into baths and that was a really special bonus that I didn't even note when booking the home. The set up of primary on the main floor with a perfect sized two queen upstairs room was so ideal for our teenaged kids. We love visiting Kootenay Lake and this will be one to come back to for sure. Thanks for the wonderful stay!

Wonderful cabin rental
The pictures do not do this cabin justice. Beautiful wrap around deck has gorgeous views of the lake and is gated which is especially helpful if you have dogs or small children. The cabin is well stocked with every kitchen item you could ever need, supplies like washing detergent, paper towels, garbage bags and helpful items like a hairdryer, binoculars, games and puzzles. All you need to bring is soft lawn chairs (although there are two super-soft loungers). There are excellent fishing spots just a few minutes from the cabin by boat or even off the dock. The dock has recently been rebuilt and is shared with the rental cabin next door. Beach is a nice mix of small rocks and sandy spots. We were able to park 2 SUVs and a small boat trailer, but it's a tight fit. If you are bringing a boat we would suggest the Sunshine Bay boat launch on the road between the ferry landing and the cabin. Communication with the owner was great. Looking forward to returning again soon.

Kootenay Lake Escape
We had a great time with our young family at this cabin on Kootenay Lake! The interior is bigger than it looks in the pictures and provided lots of space for the 6 of us to sleep and spread out. The deck is massive providing tons of outdoor living space and a great view of the regularly passing ferries (not at all disruptive), and the mostly rock beach had just enough sand for hours of entertainment throwing rocks and building sandcastles. Don't forget to check out the cinnamon buns at the bakery in Proctor. Looking forward to returning to Kootenay lake in future summers!
