"There is no lift, the hotel checkin is one flight up a winding staircase. Our room was up another level with another winding staircase. The room was comfortable the decor is old world. The bathroom shower was in a tub that was not easy to climb into could be considered hazardous. It was nice to stay on the island and enjoy the peacefulness at night."

The view couldn't be beat except for my window was at the same level as the rampart walls across the street so all the tourists had a perfect view into my room and bed. The staff were accommodating however we did not receive the level of attentiveness and assistance that we have at other hotels of its class. We had a spectacular view of the public toilets in st Malo for our honeymoon 😂. Overall this was a beautiful hotel clean and in such a convenient location and the bar is a beautiful place for a drink. "
