Nice location close to Mont St Michael and convenience stores; nice room with comfortable bed. The breakfast was very good; fresh and tasty. The bathroom was spacious; the only thing i recommend checking the shower head as not all the dots delivery water (needs maintenance).

The smallest 5-star hotel in Europe! My friend and I checked in during the off-season for one night. The staff was so friendly and accommodating! The owner gave us personalized attention and was very helpful. The location is convenient to Mont Saint Michel: just a five-minute drive to the parking lot to catch the shuttle bus. Highly recommend this hotel if you want to treat yourself.

You need a code to open the door. Nobody is in the front desk. You have the same person doing the breakfast and the check out , etc. For the breakfast you have to wait for being service . You don't have a counter with food to chose. It is not a 5 start

A bit disappointing...
We were not as impressed with the hotel as we were hoping to be given the 5-star rating and the relative expense. I suppose the proximity to Mont Saint Michel accounts for that. But compared to several of the other places we stayed on our month-long trip to France, L'Ermitage was disappointing. Our room was quite comfortable, clean, and roomy, no issues there at all. The public areas, however, were just a little shabby - dying flowers on the reception desk, throw blankets covering the dining room chairs, the hotel manager serving as porter, reception clerk, and waiter. I don't recommend the restaurant - lobster is their specialty and mine was served almost raw. Overall, it was not a good value.

Somewhat disappointed. Location to Mont Saint Michel was great as was the cleanliness. I knew that the bedroom was upstairs but did not realize or think that you would have to go downstairs to use the bathroom. When we arrived and at other interactions Werner Behra he was friendly and informative. At check in I mentioned it was my birthday. Never have I had a hotel not do something to acknowledge such. Especially at a “five star” property that we were staying at for two nights. The breakfast person not so friendly. On our second morning they were kind enough to allow us to have breakfast at 7:15 (normally starts at 8) to accommodate our needs to get to the airport. Both mornings we were the only ones in the restaurant for breakfast yet it seemed disorganized. On the second day my husband’s omelette was so burned he could not eat it. Be cautious of any drink order. My husband order a Jack Daniels and Diet Coke. When we checked out I saw the charge of 6€ for soda and 15€ for the shot of whiskey. That 21€ is about $23. When I questioned it at check out and made a statement regarding the lack of acknowledgement for my birthday they took the soda off the bill. It did not leave a good impression.

Hôtel très bien situé à quelques minutes de voiture du mont Saint-Michel (mais aussi à 1h de marche sur les berges) La réception, le directeur ainsi que le personnel ont tous été très gentils, accueillants et bienveillants avec nous. Le charme de l’hôtel et de la chambre nous a très agréablement surpris. Nuit magique dans un hôtel féerique. Je recommande à tous les lecteurs/trices de passer au moins 1 nuit dans cet hôtel les yeux fermés.
