"Really happy with my stay here. The room was clean, as were the shower and bathroom. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. The guesthouse is downtown Kandern, so it's convenient to walk to different dining and shopping options. I'd stay here again."

"I had a terrible experience with Villa 12 Guesthouse. I traveled a long way from US to Swiss (Villa 12 is on the border between Swiss and France), and had to work on the arriving day, so I got at the Villa 12 Guesthouse around 8:30pm, that is very normal time for a hotel/Guesthouse check-in time. But to my surprise, the main Gate of the Villa 12 is tightly closed, and the guesthouse building looks dark, did not seem there were people living in it. "Excellent hotel, within walking distance to center and the Rhine. Tram stop 2 mins walk from hotel if you don't want to stretch your legs. Rooms good with a kitchen and appliances. I only used kettle and fridge. Staff very nice. Would recommend."

"We stayed for 3 nights in December, the breakfast was good and never busy, staff checking us in wet friendly and polite and spoke multiple languages. The areas itself is ok, it's near a tram stop into the centre of Basel and within close enough proximity to local amenities such as the Co-op to stock up on some essentials for cooking. "Loved this stay. The breakfast buffet is amazing and the staff was very informative about restaurant and helpful in making reservations. Bonus, the tram runs right by the hotel and in addition to flavored water in the lobby there was a small selection of Haribo gummies, so yummy!"
