"It was a great hotel with best views in Porto. Clean room, great service, nice food. Welcome drink during check in. On the negative side: hotel didn't congratulate me on my birthday. It could be a small gesture like bottle of wine in the room or even a card. Absolutely nothing. "Everything was wonderful except that it did mot feel like there was much recognition of VIP status. No bottles of wine were offered or room upgrade. We had to argue for the room we orginally paid for and also we were downgraded for the end of our stay. "Property had an industrial boutique feel. Staff were lovely, room was very clean and comfortable. Beds were great! Quirky decor and excellent bathroom. Had a very early checkout so got a shock with cold shower. Rang reception and they switched on the hot water. Would have been good to have known to request this in advance. "Fantastic property, lots of character in the building but the apartments are well furnished with modern bathrooms and spacious. Great location on the edge of the historic centre and 3 minutes from the famous bridge. Staff were all extremely friendly and very helpful. The continental breakfast was delicious each morning with a good selection plus freshly baked cakes each day. This place is a real gem and we would recommend it to anyone visiting Porto."

Beautiful place to stay in Porto

"So many things to love about the GA Palace Hotel. The room and bed was really comfortable with a large bathroom (double sinks), great restaurant, day spa and pool. We were only there for two nights, however, choose to eat meals all meals at the hotel restaurant or use room service, apart from the lunch we had in the Douro Valley. "
