"My wife, son, and 2 dogs stayed here over Thanksgiving and enjoyed our stay. Communication with Delores was easy and she was very responsive. The back yard was great, my son and 2 dogs had a blast playing in all the leaves and there was plenty of space for them to run around. The inside of the home is dated and because of that can seem not as clean as it actually is. We would absolutely recommend others stay here and if we're ever back in the area wouldn't hesitate to come back. Thanks...

"Our extended family of all ages plus one small dog greatly enjoyed our stay in this home! Plenty of space for everyone to sleep, extra bathrooms, and a functional kitchen. The fenced-in back yard is perfect for pets and children. Street parking was easy and a nice playground at the end of the block and a small store a few blocks over were nice to have nearby. We would stay here again!"

"The peaceful setting high above the James was only interrupted by the infrequent passing freight trains across the river. The sunsets were colorful and the clear moonless nights burst with stars, especially looking up from the hot tub. The cabin was as advertised; comfortable bedrooms, modern bathrooms, well-stocked kitchen (pots, plates pans, utensils, etc). Central Air/Heat worked fine. "My family and I traveled to Powhatan for a wedding at The Mill at Fine Creek. The house and the town had such a beautiful small town vibe that was such a perfect place for us to hang out and get ready. We were able to enjoy the owners restaurant, which was right across the street, and an adorable coffee shop. There was also a great park nearby with walking trails and playground for the kids. We truly enjoyed our stay! "

" Overall good stay, we cooked our Thanksgiving dinner at the location. We had sufficient items and utensils to work with. Small problems are front door exterior light on porch not working. Also shower water does not get hot enough. Water from facet will scald but the showers are not adjusted to provide adequate hotwater. "This was a beautiful, historic home; immaculately clean with hotel-like features such as a guest book and welcome basket :). The downside was that much like a hotel, there were no extra linens or blankets. The house is near the corner of a main street in a “transitional” neighborhood, and although we felt safe enough to enjoy the front porch, some of the neighboring lots lacked maintenance."

"Stayed here for marathon weekend. Location worked very well as it was only about a mile from starting line and only about a 5 min drive to the restaurants and bars of The Fan neighborhood. The house was clean and comfortable with easy check-in/check-out. It is close to train tracks, and there was usually one loud train whistle each night. I would happily stay here again."
