"Stayed initially for three night but enjoyed it so much we had two more nights there. The apartments are well appointed and quite private. The rooms were spacious and well fitted with a jacuzzi in the bedroom. Quiet in grounds of large house on outskirts of Vila de Punhe about 4miles from Viana do Castelo. Easy access to the town. The staff were very nice and the owner was very helpful. The views were lovely over the area and vineyards. Everything worked well and had no problems."

"Gaia is across the river from Porto; a short ride to downtown but away from the throngs of tourists. The beach and beach restaurants are a five minute walk from the house. Joaquim was a wonderful host and the accommodations felt like a five star hotel. we would definitely stay here again."

I wish I had taken more notice of the number of external photographs against interior shots as the only redeeming feature of this place is the outside area. There have been some similar reviews indicating check-in confusion, but we still fell into the same hole. I believe the real issue is the apartment still use the old style locks, both for the main door and apartment door.
