"We had a very nice 3 night stay. Especially enjoyed the swimming and the breakfasts. It was very good good value. "

Considering we were there for a wedding and booked almost the entire hotel, I feel she could have been much more welcoming."

"This is a lovely if basic hotel in a gorgeous location but it’s very remote and the little lane to get there is single track so perhaps not great in the dark. The food in the renowned restaurant is excellent with menus at €25, €35 and €45. However breakfast at €12 per person offers minimal choice and quantity and some may wish to decline it. Overall this is a brilliant establishment if you’re luck enough to get one of the small number of their rooms."

"Upon arrival the doors were locked and other customers were waiting to check-in...not exactly the way to run a hotel! We called two telephone numbers posted on the front door and finally received a response that someone was coming to open up. Wallpaper was peeling profusely off the walls in our assigned room and the metal work outside our widow was well rusted. We shared the mostly cold room (no temperature controls) with a few resident insects. This place has hopefully seen better days. I...
