"Could have been the perfect stay, but there was a massive flaw. If you go to a hotel and stay overnight, you expect to be able to sleep, right? That’s the thing you go for. Wrong! This otherwise charming hotel with lovely friendly staff and a nice vibe currently has a serious technical issue that will prevent you sleeping. "Lovely friendly staff. Very easy to find. Parking good. Very quiet. Room was clean and comfortable. En-suite was great. Garden was very well kept. Didn’t have breakfast so I can’t comment on that. Did have coffees and a glass of wine and beer. Decent price. Easy walk into Cassis so no problem with parking there. Easy to get to Marseilles and The Calanque. A beautiful area. No complaints. "

"This is a nice comfortable place. It is away from town on a windy road. My advice is to be very specific on the accommodations you want. My friend and I booked a room with 2 beds and the hotel assumed 2 people would only need 1 bed, so they didn’t even put sheets on the other bed. I was told I should have added it to the comment section of the online reservation. Housekeeping had already departed by check-in time, so there was no remedy, except to share the bed. "This hotel was absolutely charming. The lobby/sitting area was like an old fashioned living room and a nice area to relax in. We were pleasantly surprised to find out we had been upgraded to a Junior Suite and having the extra room and sitting area was lovely. The staff was so kind and helpful in answering questions and sharing directions. This property is a little further away from the main area of town with all of the restaurants etc so after sightseeing all day, we ended up basing our eating options on what was closer. We loved Aix En Provence and if we are ever fortunate to visit the area again, we would definitely stay here. "

"The hotel is located in a,slightly industrial area, however do not let this put you off as there are bars and restaurants around and in the hotel which are really good. The room service was excellent for the duration of my stay and John's service in the hotel bar was 10/10. He was really knowledgeable and friendly and his drinks were really good. All in all if i was returning to the south of France in would definitely use this hotel again. "

"We really enjoyed our stay in Aix @ des Augustins. The location was excellent - right off Cours Mirabeau and a wonderful little square with restaurants and pubs. A little rocky start as the room with terrace I booked (via description and pictures) did not exist. I’m not sure if this was an error on Expedia or hotel description of rooms; but, I was disappointed upon arrival. We were given the deluxe room that I booked, but no terrace, just windows. I was offered the comfort room with a terrace the next morning, but the room and bath were extremely tiny and there is no elevator to the third floor. We stayed in the larger room, which was a wonderful size (with sofa and twin bed) (also the bath). With the rain, we weren’t likely to use the terrace anyway. The bath has a huge jetted tub with handheld shower and no glass, so not easy to shower. Some noise from rooms above. Carpet in room a little worn, but everything seemed clean. Bonus: the room had both a coffee pod machine and kettle for tea - website had said these only bailable in common areas, so a big plus! Beautiful common areas and very receptive and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend this hotel in Aix! "
