"Ideal location. Room was clean, however decor throughout the hotel is very dated. Reception quite slow although friendly. A couple of items asked for at the bar and restaurant were not available! However, I would stay there again. "

"Unfortunately the breakfast was very disappointing. It would be so much better if tea/coffee and toast could be brought to the table as quality from machine is poor and toaster is rubbish! The choice of food was limited and cooked food was dried up."

"The hotel itself was enjoyable, including a good breakfast, but the exterior approach and the different entrances was confusing and not attractive. Hopefully this might improve once the adjacent landscaping project is complete. Location is good in terms of adjacency to tue station, university, the Box, and city shopping, restaurants etc. "

"A good restful stay. Really good location - walk down hill and get a taxi back up. Parking a slight issue but not a deal breaker. Rooms need updating but it is a standard seaside hotel. Best part of this hotel is the views - they are top notch. "

"The property is fine and the facilities are good. The parking seems safe and is convenient, but the spaces marked for the Holiday Inn were very full. The spaces marked for Miller and Carter were available but it was not clear if it was ok to park there. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful.
